I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. won't you please my friend
Try to understand. Baby that's what I am
I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. a living one-night stand
And when I'm with my band I'm doing the best I can
Listen to these words as they now speak to you
Can you feel the fire as it sneaks in you?
All my diamond dreams and all these party scenes
Hide memories of a life that's far behind me.
Gone in a flash.. it won't ever last
You can never ever come back if you're a Rock-N-Roll man
I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. won't you please my friend
Try to understand. Baby that's what I am
I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. a living one-night stand
And when I'm with my band I'm doing the best I can
Listen to these words as they now speak to you
You can feel the magic as it creeps in you
All these empty dreams baby all your party scenes
Are memories of a life that used to have you
Gone in a flash.. it won't ever last
You can never ever come back if you're a Rock-N-Roll man
I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. won't you please my friend
Try to understand. Baby that's what I am
I'm a Rock-n-Roll man.. a living one-night stand
And when I'm with my band I'm doing the best I can
Gone in a flash.. it won't ever last
You can never ever come back if you're a Rock-N-Roll man
Style: Rock
History: Jason struck up the original idea on a keyboard. Steve refined the music. Michael added the lyrics and vocal melody. On this demo the vocal part is picked out on electric guitar. We ended up not performing this live because the key is bad for Michael and it didn't feel the same when transposed.
